Republican candidate Donald Trump has vowed to tackle inflation if he is elected president, making the promise during an election rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, last Saturday.
Trump, who won both the 2016 and 2020 elections in North Carolina, declared at the rally that he will restore the "American dream." He claimed to have hosted the largest rally in any country's history and, in a speech lasting about an hour and a half, described the United States as an "occupied country," asserting that this election is a chance to liberate it.
In his remarks, Trump criticized the Biden administration, vowing to end what he called the "orange war" against American energy and quickly reduce inflation. He also announced plans for a "Drill Baby Drill" initiative aimed at boosting oil production. Addressing the crowd, he emphasized, "Everything is in your hands now."
